Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Gurugram. The Business Development Manager will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with small and medium businesses, and drive adoption of SalaryBox's payroll and employee management solutions. Daily responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline, delivering product demos, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with product and marketing teams to refine offerings and go-to-market strategies. The role also involves tracking performance metrics, preparing sales reports, and providing customer feedback to internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, meeting revenue targets, and representing SalaryBox at client meetings, events, and partner engagements.

Role Requirements

  • Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and deal closing.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage decision-makers and influencers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technology products in clear, simple terms.
  • Analytical and research skills to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Experience with CRM tools and basic proficiency in using digital tools for reporting and forecasting.
  • Prior experience in B2B SaaS, HR tech, fintech, or payroll solutions is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to work on-site in Gurugram, collaborate cross-functionally, and meet defined sales and growth targets.
