Position Overview
The Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing business operations, driving revenue growth, ensuring effective project coordination, and improving overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in the construction sector and strong leadership capabilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement business strategies aligned with company goals.
- Analyze market trends in the construction industry to identify new opportunities.
- Create business reports, forecasts, and project performance metrics.
Construction Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations across construction sites and office teams.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure timely project completion.
- Monitor material procurement, resource allocation, and workflow efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with construction safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise project teams, site supervisors, and support staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and assist with hiring and training.
- Foster a collaborative and accountable work culture.
Financial & Project Management
- Manage budgets, project costs, and financial planning.
- Review project estimates, billing, and vendor contracts.
- Support senior management with financial insights and project status updates.
Client & Vendor Management
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Handle client queries, negotiate contracts, and ensure service satisfaction.
- Collaborate with suppliers for timely procurement and cost negotiations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 27 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project management, and industry compliance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, and budgeting.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
