Role: Business Development Manager (Real Estate, Retail)

Location: Bangalore, WFO

LiteStore is India's first Retail as a Service platform. We are building a full stack, seamless offline platform to ensure that brands go offline quickly and efficiently. LiteStore's retail services range from leasing of spaces to design adaptation and project management for shopfit to offline marketing and staffing.

Today, we work with brands of all sizes from early-stage startups taking their first steps into offline retail (Comet, Newme & Snitch) to global brands (Adidas & Burger King).Our website explains the different verticals in the business and what we do in greater detail. Currently, the LiteStore platform is working with 65+ brands across 8 cities and operates +2L sqft of retail spaces. You will be joining the business at one of the most exciting times, as we look to capitalise on the opportunity to build the Shopify for Offline Retail.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Manager Business Development at LiteStore, you will drive strategic brandacquisition, strengthen key relationships, and lead expansion initiatives across our retail portfolio. This role demands a mix of commercial acumen, stakeholder management, negotiation ability, and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Acquisition & Relationship Management

Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-potential brands aligned with LiteStore's retail strategy.

Build and maintain strong relationships with brand POCs, CXOs and decision-makers

Lead commercial negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.

Sales & Pipeline Management

Own the BD pipeline end-to-end prospecting, pitching, follow-ups, and closure.

Track metrics, conversion ratios, and revenue targets with a data-driven approach.

Collaborate with leadership to refine category strategies and leasing priorities.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Partner with Design, Projects, Operations, Legal, and Finance to align brand requirements and ensure smooth onboarding.

Drive internal timelines and ensure operational readiness for new store launches.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

Conduct market mapping, competitor analysis, and category research.

Identify whitespace opportunities and propose new brand partnerships.

Provide insights on industry trends, pricing movements, and brand expansion strategies.

Documentation & Commercial Governance

Oversee Term Sheets, Agreements, and commercial documentation.

Ensure timely closure of commercials, compliance, and accurate record-keeping.

What We're Looking For:

Preferred Experience

58 years in Business Development, Leasing, Category Management, or Retail Expansion roles.

Prior exposure to brand onboarding, retail leasing, or multi-brand environments.

Understanding of retail landscape across markets

Personality Traits

Hustler mindset with the ability to manage ambiguity.

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and strong with documentation.

Collaborative team player who can drive outcomes across multiple functions.

Must-Have Skills

Strong communication and negotiation skills;

Able to present confidently to senior stakeholders.

Ability to build trust and long-term relationships with brands.

Solid understanding of retail categories and brand economics.

High ownership, problem-solving attitude, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced

environment.
