Job Description

This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Hyderabad. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and manage a strong sales pipeline, and establish long-term relationships with individual and corporate customers. Responsibilities include conducting market research, analyzing competitor activities, and developing strategies to expand payrentz's presence in the local market. The role involves meeting prospective clients, explaining rental solutions, negotiating pricing and terms, and closing deals to achieve revenue targets. The Business Development Manager will collaborate with operations, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and high customer satisfaction, while providing regular reports and forecasts to management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in consumer services, retail, or rental businesses.
  • Strong skills in lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals to meet or exceed targets.
  • Ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and derive insights to shape go-to-market strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse customer profiles.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Solid organizational and time management abilities, including planning, prioritization, and follow-through.
  • Comfort with using CRM tools and basic productivity software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, email).
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Prior experience in the Hyderabad market and fluency in relevant local languages are an advantage.
