Business Development Manager (BDM) – Admission Consultant

About the Role

NxtWave is seeking a professional and execution-focused Business Development Manager (BDM) to manage and coordinate relationships with Admission Consultants (ACs) across assigned regions.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling consultant communications, driving engagement, managing operational workflows, supporting conversions through demos and follow-ups, and ensuring strong coordination between consultants and internal teams.

This role requires strong communication, stakeholder management, operational discipline, and team coordination capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Admission Consultant (AC) Management

  • Manage relationships with assigned Admission Consultants (ACs).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for consultant communication and operational support.
  • Build long-term engagement and maintain strong professional relationships with consultants.
  • Ensure consultants are aligned with company processes, policies, and admission workflows.

Communication & Coordination

  • Handle daily calls, emails, and follow-ups with Admission Consultants.
  • Coordinate with internal counselling, operations, and admissions teams for smooth execution.
  • Resolve consultant queries, escalations, and operational challenges promptly.
  • Ensure timely communication regarding admissions updates, documentation, and student onboarding.

Demo & Business Support

  • Conduct business presentations and platform demos for consultants when required.
  • Support consultants in understanding programs, offerings, admission procedures, and sales processes.
  • Drive consultant activation, engagement, and performance improvement initiatives.

Team Handling & Operations

  • Coordinate and supervise junior executives or support teams handling consultant operations.
  • Monitor daily activities, response quality, and workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure proper tracking of consultant performance and admissions progress.

Reporting & CRM Management

  • Maintain accurate records of consultant interactions, performance metrics, and lead status in CRM systems.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Analyze consultant productivity and identify improvement opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related fields.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Business Development, Partner Management, Operations, or Relationship Management.
  • Prior experience in EdTech, admissions ecosystem, channel partner management, or consultant handling preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management abilities.
  • Strong coordination and multitasking capabilities.
  • Experience handling calls, emails, CRM tools, and operational workflows.
  • Leadership and team handling skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with high ownership and accountability.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, and CRM platforms.
