Business Development Manager (IVY100 Team)
We are seeking a highly strategic, result-driven *Business Manager* to lead and scale a team of *IVY 100 counsellors*. This role requires strong leadership, revenue ownership, and the ability to drive high-impact sales strategies at scale. You will be responsible for delivering revenue targets, building a performance-driven culture, and ensuring operational excellence across the sales funnel.
This is a high-visibility role offering the opportunity to shape business outcomes, influence strategy, and play a critical role in helping students achieve their global education aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Revenue Ownership
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IVY 100 counsellors to consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Drive a high-performance, target-oriented culture with strong ownership and accountability.
Establish clear goals, monitor performance, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Build a strong second line of leadership (Team Leads/Assistant Managers) to ensure scalability.
- Sales Strategy & Execution Excellence
Design and implement scalable sales strategies to optimize the entire funnel—from lead generation to conversion.
Drive continuous improvement in conversion rates, productivity metrics, and revenue per counsellor.
Leverage data and analytics to forecast pipelines, identify gaps, and drive informed decision-making.
Ensure strict adherence to defined sales processes, SOPs, and quality benchmarks.
- Performance Management & Team Development
Conduct regular performance reviews, business reviews, and training interventions.
Identify skill gaps and implement structured coaching programs to enhance team effectiveness.
Drive hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies for a high-performing sales team.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence.
- Business Growth & Strategic Partnerships
Identify and drive new revenue opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, universities, and partners.
Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at scaling business operations and entering new markets.
- Market Intelligence & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to refine strategies.
Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to improve lead quality, campaigns, and user experience.
Provide actionable insights to leadership for business planning and growth.
Experience
5–8 years of experience (post-MBA preferred) in Business Development / Sales / Revenue roles.
Proven track record of managing teams and delivering revenue targets.
Strong experience in *Overseas Education / EdTech* is highly preferred.
