Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the company's client base. This role involves identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, managing the sales pipeline, and building long-term relationships with decision-makers in target industries. The Business Development Manager will prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations in close collaboration with technical and delivery teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market and competitor research, negotiating contracts, tracking performance metrics, and providing regular reports and forecasts to leadership. The role also includes contributing to go-to-market strategies, attending industry events, and ensuring a high-quality client experience throughout the sales cycle.

Qualifications

  • Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, pipeline management, and closing deals.
  • Client relationship management abilities, such as stakeholder engagement, account management, and negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Market and industry analysis capabilities, including research, competitive benchmarking, and identifying growth opportunities in relevant sectors.
  • Communication and presentation skills, with strength in written and verbal communication, proposal development, and delivering product demos.
  • Understanding of software development and digital transformation concepts, with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, including CRM usage, data-driven decision-making, and accurate forecasting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in B2B software or technology services sales, preferably within enterprise or mid-market segments.
  • Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
