Overview:
Inuka is working with a market-leading C&I solar developer in East Africa to recruit a Business Development Manager based in Nairobi. The company operates one of the strongest commercial and industrial solar portfolios in the region and is seeking a commercially driven professional who is open to relocating to Nairobi to support pipeline expansion and long-term growth.
Responsibilities:
- Drive origination and pipeline development for C&I solar projects across key sectors.
- Identify, approach, and convert commercial and industrial clients with significant energy demand.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through proposal, negotiation, and contract closure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers and regional corporate clients.
- Collaborate with technical, finance, and project teams to structure commercially viable solutions.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments impacting C&I energy solutions.
Qualifications:
- 24 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within energy, infrastructure, or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of the energy landscape; exposure to solar or renewable energy is advantageous.
- Experience managing complex or long sales cycles with corporate clients.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Willingness to relocate to Nairobi, Kenya.
