Why This Role Exists
India's defence technology sector is expanding rapidly, and Zen Technologies is actively pursuing a global presence. The absence of dedicated international business development leadership limits Zen's ability to capitalize on export opportunities and establish strong footholds in key foreign markets. Without this role, international sales growth, strategic partnerships, and government engagement are slower and fragmented.
This position will bridge that gap by developing and executing Zen's international business strategy, engaging directly with foreign defence stakeholders, and ensuring timely identification and conversion of export opportunities. The right person will strengthen Zen's global credibility and drive sustainable international revenue growth.
The Role
The Business Development Manager – International owns the end-to-end international business development function for Zen. This includes market scouting, relationship management with foreign governments and defence agencies, and export operations execution. Their accountability begins with identifying export opportunities and extends through contract execution, partnership formation, and market penetration in target regions.
They have authority over international BD strategies, customer engagement plans, and export operations, but work collaboratively with internal product, legal, and compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
