Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Mumbai. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and manage relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, and key accounts, and expand Greenlam's market presence in the region. The role involves developing and executing sales and business development strategies, conducting market research, and analyzing trends to drive revenue growth. The person in this position will manage the sales pipeline, prepare proposals and presentations, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure timely closure of deals. Day-to-day responsibilities also include collaborating with marketing and product teams, providing accurate sales forecasts and reports, and representing the company at industry events, meetings, and client visits.

Qualifications

  • Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and key account handling.
  • Experience in relationship management and stakeholder engagement with architects, interior designers, contractors, and channel partners.
  • Proficiency in market research, competitor analysis, and developing go-to-market and territory growth strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and close deals.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, coordinate with marketing and operations, and ensure efficient order fulfillment and customer service.
  • Prior experience in building materials, surfacing solutions, interiors, or related industries is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Comfort with using CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and digital platforms for reporting and client communication.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a focus on achieving targets and managing multiple accounts.
