Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site business development manager role based in Mumbai. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and maintain strong relationships with B2B clients, and expand Dolphy's presence in key segments such as hospitality, corporate offices, and commercial facilities. Responsibilities include prospecting and lead generation, conducting client meetings and presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating contracts in line with company objectives. The role involves close collaboration with marketing, sales, and project coordination teams to align business development activities with ongoing campaigns and project delivery. The business development manager will also track market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine strategies and support sustainable revenue growth.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, B2B sales, or key account management, ideally within building solutions, hospitality, or related industries.
  • Strong skills in client relationship management, networking, and stakeholder communication, with the ability to engage at multiple decision-making levels.
  • Ability to conduct market research, analyze opportunities, and develop effective go-to-market strategies for new and existing products.
  • Competence in preparing proposals, managing the sales pipeline, forecasting, and working with CRM or similar sales tracking tools.
  • Solid negotiation, presentation, and closing skills, with a focus on delivering value and maintaining long-term partnerships.
  • Comfort working on-site and in the field, including regular client visits, site meetings, and coordination with internal teams in Mumbai and other locations.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and common business tools; familiarity with e-commerce or export processes
