Company Description Craftizen Foundation is dedicated to keeping Indian craft and artisanal skills relevant in a rapidly changing world. The organization focuses on creating sustainable livelihoods through crafts, especially for marginalized communities. It currently manages 20 craft-based centers in and around Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. These centers provide consistent income opportunities to persons with intellectual disabilities and women from underprivileged backgrounds. Craftizen partners with diverse stakeholders to build market linkages and long-term support for craft-based livelihoods.
Role Purpose
Drive new product sales, revenue and market expansion for Craftizen through corporate, institutional, retail and bulk orders. Generate and convert new client relationships into orders, and grow Craftizen's presence at events, stalls and market channels.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation and Business Development
● Identify and approach corporate, institutional, retail and bulk buyers for product orders; qualified leads per quarter tracked by source
● Qualify leads against fit and order potential, and progress them toward orders and revenue, rather than treating qualification as an end in itself
● Convert qualified leads into orders, meetings or proposals
● Maintain and update the active opportunity pipeline; refresh weekly
New Client Acquisition
● Approach and onboard new corporate, institutional, retail and bulk clients
● Secure first orders from new clients and hand off to PM/account management for ongoing relationship management
Events, Stalls and Market Outreach
● Plan and execute events and stalls aligned to the festival calendar (concentrated around Raksha Bandhan, Ganesh, Diwali and Christmas), rather than a uniform number each quarter; annual event plan front-loaded to peak season
● Execute approved stalls and outreach events to standard
● Generate qualified leads at events and capture them in the MIS event log
● Drive and track event sales and revenue
MIS, Sales Tracking and Reporting
● Log leads and interactions in MIS within 48 hours
● Attribute and track all sales and revenue monthly
● Submit monthly and quarterly BD reports on time
Key Deliverables
● Active opportunity pipeline, refreshed weekly, with win or loss status
● New client acquisition record; first-order conversion tracked
● Festival-aligned annual event plan and post-event reports (leads and sales captured)
● Monthly sales and revenue attribution; monthly and quarterly BD reports submitted on time. The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, Dehradun, Amritsar.
