Business Development Manager (BDM) Tufwud
Role Summary
As a BDM at Tufwud, your key mission is to open new doors literally and figuratively. You are the frontline business hunter responsible for identifying new project opportunities, generating qualified leads, nurturing influential relationships (architects, consultants, PMCs), and helping Tufwud get specified early in the buying journey. You will collaborate across sales, marketing, and operations to translate opportunities into long-term business
growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Expansion
Identify potential customers, new projects, and untapped markets across healthcare,
hospitality, institutional, and government sectors.
Research market databases, online portals, networking platforms, and build a pipeline
of qualified leads.
Participate in exhibitions, events, and client meetings for brand exposure and contact generation.
Influencer & Client Engagement
Proposal & Negotiation Support
Prepare and present high-quality proposals, quotations, and follow-ups in coordination
with internal teams.
Support pricing negotiations and assist in commercial closure (handover to Sales Head
where required).
Help maintain compliance documents, samples, brochures needed for institutional
approvals.
Cross-Team Coordination & Execution
Coordinate internally with sales, marketing, factory, and installation teams for timely
response to leads.
Monitor lead journey from Enquiry Pitch Quote Order, and flag bottlenecks.
Support pre-order execution readiness and smooth customer onboarding.
Reporting & CRM Discipline
Maintain CRM hygiene: update funnel status, call logs, customer info, next steps.
Prepare weekly reports on new leads, meetings, hot prospects, lost deals, and market
insights.
Continuously monitor competitor activity and market feedback for strategic alignment.
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
Number of qualified leads generated/month
Influencer meetings (architects, PMCs) per month
Number of Tufwud specifications locked in projects
Funnel conversion ratio: Lead Opportunity Order
Sales Head feedback on quality of lead handover
CRM update discipline (weekly reports, notes)
Skills & Competencies
Strong communication, presentation, and persuasion skills
Industry awareness (project life cycles, government procurement, fire/acoustic
standards)
Self-motivated and resilient hunter mindset
Time management, CRM usage, and collaboration ability
Qualification & Experience
Graduate in Engineering, Architecture, or Business (MBA preferred)
36 years of experience in B2B project sales or business development in construction,
interiors, or building materials
Familiarity with institutional tendering, architecture networks, or channel development is
a plus
