International Business Development Manager Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced International Business Development Manager with strong exposure to the Middle East market, ideally within designer wear, luxury fashion, or fashion exports. The candidate will be responsible for developing international wholesale business, building relationships with buyers, and expanding the brand's presence across key Middle Eastern markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business strategies to expand the brand's wholesale presence in the Middle East
  • Identify new clients, buyers, boutiques, retail groups, and distributors for designer clothing
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with international partners
  • Promote and sell the brand's own-label designer clothing to international wholesale clients
  • Conduct market research on Middle Eastern fashion trends, pricing, and competitor landscape
  • Manage export documentation, order processing, and coordination with production teams
  • Attend international fashion exhibitions, buyer meetings, and trade shows
  • Achieve revenue targets through regular follow-ups, presentations, and negotiations
  • Generate reports on business performance, client feedback, and market opportunities
  • Work closely with design and merchandising teams to develop region-appropriate collections

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Mandatory: Experience in International Business Development in the Middle East
  • Experience in designer wear, luxury clothing, fashion export, or multi-designer houses
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Good understanding of international wholesale processes and export operations
  • Established network of buyers, retailers, or distributors in the Middle East (UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently, travel internationally, and manage client relationships
  • Fashion industry knowledge is essential

  • Education:

    • Degree in Business, Fashion Management, International Trade, or related field (preferred)

    Experience:

    • 48 years of relevant international business development experience
