About the Role:

Cityfurnish is looking for a sharp, ambitious, and growth-driven Manager Business Development to spearhead revenue expansion across both B2B and B2C verticals. This position is ideal for a younger, dynamic leader who is eager to scale with the organization and eventually grow into a senior leadership role. The DGMBD will manage the B2B enterprise sales function along with a 15+ member B2C field sales/broker network team, ensuring strong funnel performance, high conversions, and excellent customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Revenue Strategy

  • Drive revenue growth across B2B and B2C channels.
  • Develop market expansion strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Track weekly/monthly performance, revenue forecasts & conversions.
  • Build a strong culture of ownership, discipline, and accountability.

2. B2B Sales Management (Core Functional Leadership)

  • Source and acquire clients across - co-living, student housing, serviced apartments, guest houses, hotels, real estate groups, and hospitality chains.
  • Build long-term partnerships with developers, FM companies & accommodation providers.
  • Create customized furnishing/rental solutions based on client needs.
  • Lead negotiations, pricing, proposal drafting, and deal closures.
  • Ensure repeat business, contract renewals & enterprise-level account management.
  • Map new markets, industry opportunities, and partnership channels.

3. B2C Field Sales (Broker / Channel Partner Model)

  • Lead and guide a 15+ member field BD team working on broker & channel partner acquisition.
  • Scale broker network across assigned territories.
  • Ensure daily meetings, outreach activities, and territory coverage.
  • Support the team in driving partner-generated leads for rentals.
  • Establish B2C sales SOPs, incentive structures, and KPI trackers.
  • Monitor broker funnels, qualification, conversions & revenue delivery.

B2C Responsibilities to Integrate:

  • Identify and onboard new channel partners/brokers.
  • Ensure team conducts regular in-person meetings with brokers.
  • Oversee cold calling, virtual meetings & partner engagement activities.
  • Ensure quality presentations & pitches to partners.
  • Gather customer feedback and share insights with internal teams.
  • Drive and monitor monthly revenue targets via partners.
  • Implement CRM discipline and data accuracy across BD team.

4. Process Excellence, CRM & Reporting

  • Build dashboards to track daily productivity, funnel health & conversion metrics.
  • Ensure strict CRM hygiene, sales documentation, and pipeline governance.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing & Product to enhance lead quality and user journeys.
  • Standardize proposal formats, pricing sheets, and negotiation frameworks.

5. Customer Experience & Post-Sales Coordination

  • Maintain high NPS, customer satisfaction, and escalation resolution.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with Operations for delivery, setup & after-sales needs.
  • Drive repeat revenue, renewals, cross-selling and upselling.

6. Team Development & Capability Building

  • Hire, train & develop both B2B and B2C BD team members.
  • Coach team on negotiation, communication, CRM use, and sales processes.
  • Conduct structured performance reviews & improvement plans.
  • Build a motivated, high-performance growth team.

What We're Looking For:

  • 612 years of experience in BD, Sales, Key Account Management, or similar roles
  • Strong exposure to:

Co-living

Student housing

Serviced apartments / guest houses

Hospitality

Real estate (preferred strongly)

  • Experience in managing field sales teams.
  • Strong negotiation & relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in CRM tools, sales metrics & reporting.
  • High ownership, ambition, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup.
  • Someone young, energetic, and eager to grow with the organization into senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
