About the Role
Young Edsplorer is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager to drive B2B sales across the K-12 education segment. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in EdTech or education sales, possess excellent communication and presentation skills, and be comfortable traveling extensively across India to build and strengthen relationships with schools.
This role involves meeting Principals, School Owners, Directors, Academic Coordinators, and other key decision-makers to introduce our solutions, conduct presentations, generate new business opportunities, and close deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new schools across India.
- Generate qualified leads through LinkedIn, cold calling, email campaigns, networking, referrals, and market research.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with school decision-makers, including Principals, Directors, Trustees, and Management.
- Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective school partners.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and successful implementation.
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline and CRM with accurate records of leads and opportunities.
- Represent the organization at educational events, conferences, exhibitions, and networking forums.
- Travel extensively across India for business meetings, school visits, client presentations, and partnership development.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proven B2B sales and business development experience.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
- Ability to independently manage the complete sales lifecycle.
- Target-driven, self-motivated, and highly organized.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and email communication.
Preferred Background
- Experience in the K-12 education segment.
- Prior experience in EdTech, education sales, school partnerships, or B2B SaaS sales.
- Experience interacting with Principals, School Owners, Trustees, and educational institutions.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in lead generation through LinkedIn, cold calling, emails, and referrals.
- Comfortable traveling extensively across India for client acquisition and relationship management.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- MBA in Marketing, Sales, Business Management, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Business Development or B2B Sales.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills are mandatory.
- Must be willing to travel extensively across India.
- Must be comfortable working from the Noida office.
