Business Development Manager – Formulations (LATAM/ CIS / Middle East Markets) Location : Hyderabad
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager – International Formulations to lead market intelligence, product strategy, and portfolio development for pharmaceutical finished formulations across LATAM, CIS, and Middle East markets.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of on-ground pharmaceutical market structures in CIS , LATAM & ME region and emerging markets, including distributor networks, institutional procurement models, and parallel business channels, beyond conventional export models.
The role will focus on identifying high-demand molecules, developing market-driven product portfolios, and supporting international business teams with strategic market insights to drive revenue growth.
Market Intelligence & Opportunity Mapping
- Conduct deep market research across LATAM, CIS, and Middle East to identify:
- High-demand molecules
- Therapeutic segment opportunities
- Product gaps in local markets
- Track import trends, tender opportunities, and private market demand in target countries.
- Develop country-wise product opportunity reports based on market demand and regulatory feasibility.
Product Portfolio Strategy
- Identify priority molecules and formulations suitable for international markets.
- Work with R&D and regulatory teams to align product development with international market requirements.
- Support portfolio expansion strategy based on regional demand and competitive positioning.
Market Structure & Channel Understanding
- Analyze on-ground pharmaceutical distribution structures, including:
- Distributor networks
- Parallel import channels
- Institutional procurement
- Hospital and retail market dynamics
- Identify strategic local partners and distributors for market penetration.
Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor competitor portfolios, pricing strategies, and product launches across target markets.
- Develop competitive benchmarking reports to guide pricing and positioning strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- International Business teams
- Regulatory affairs
- R&D
- Supply chain
- Ensure product readiness and regulatory alignment for international launches.
Business Development Support
- Support international sales teams by providing:

- Product positioning strategies
- Country-specific marketing strategies
- Assist in partner identification and relationship development.
Market Expansion Initiatives
- Participate in international pharmaceutical exhibitions and business meetings.
- Support negotiations with distributors and partners in target markets.
- Prepare market entry strategies for new countries.
Reporting & Strategic Planning
- Prepare market intelligence reports, product demand forecasts, and strategic expansion plans.
- Track sales performance and product adoption in international markets.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy / Life Sciences / Business Administration
- MBA in International Marketing preferred
- 8–15 years of experience in pharmaceutical international marketing or business development
- Experience in finished formulations markets
