Company Description

Art Karat is looking for a proactive and commercially sharp Business Development Manager to grow the brand through new exhibition markets, new stores, B2B partnerships, marketplace listings, and product placement opportunities.

Role Description

* Identify new cities and markets in India and internationally where Art Karat can conduct exhibitions.

* Study the viability of each city based on customer profile, Indian/South Asian population, spending power, premium audience, seasonality, competition, venue options, marketing feasibility, and expected ROI.

* Identify suitable venues, hosts, clubs, hotels, galleries, communities, and local partners for Art Karat shows.

* Build relationships with exhibition organisers, luxury hotels, clubs, hosts, stylists, fashion designers, wedding planners, and premium customer networks.

* Identify new store locations across malls, high streets, hotels, and premium retail markets.

* Develop B2B sales opportunities with fashion brands, boutiques, jewellery stores, wedding stores, and multi-designer stores.

* Explore product placement with premium retailers such as Pernia's Pop-Up Shop, Aza, Ogaan, Ensemble, Evoluzione, and similar platforms.

* Identify brands or retailers who can purchase Art Karat products outright or stock them in their stores.

* Build marketplace opportunities with Myntra, Nykaa Fashion, Ajio Luxe, Tata CLiQ Luxury, Amazon, Flipkart, and other relevant platforms.

* Negotiate commercial terms and coordinate with internal teams for execution.

* Track leads, meetings, proposals, closures, revenue potential, and channel performance.

Required Skills

* Strong networking and business development skills.

* Ability to research and evaluate new cities, markets, venues, and business opportunities.

* Experience in fashion, jewellery, luxury retail, exhibitions, marketplaces, or B2B sales preferred.

* Good communication, negotiation, and follow-up ability.

* Commercially practical, self-driven, and target-oriented.

* Comfortable with Excel / Google Sheets and basic reporting.

* Willing to travel when required.

Ideal Candidate

Someone who can identify new markets, open new sales channels, build strong relationships, and convert opportunities into revenue for Art Karat.
