Job Description

Fixed Salary budget : 4-5 LPA

Variable (target based) : 2-3 LPA

We are looking for a proactive and street-smart Business Development Manager who can drive student enrolments and institutional growth beyond paid ads. The role focuses on building strategic partnerships, offline lead sources, institutional tie-ups, referral networks, and B2B collaborations to consistently generate high-quality leads and revenue for the school.

This role is ideal for someone who understands education sales, partnerships, and on-ground execution, and can convert relationships into real business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Growth & Partnerships

  • Identify and onboard strategic partners such as:
  • Tattoo studios & Art academies (MAAC, MAYA, Whistling woods)
  • Art colleges & design institutes
  • Tattoo supply stores & distributors
  • Creative communities, NGOs & art collectives
  • Create revenue-sharing or referral-based partnerships with clear tracking and payouts.
  • Develop long-term collaboration models (events, workshops, co-branded programs).

2. Offline & Community-Based Lead Generation

  • Plan and execute offline activations:
  • Workshops, demo days, open houses, career talks
  • Studio visits, college outreach programs, exhibitions
  • Build strong local and national networks within the art & tattoo ecosystem.
  • Represent the brand at industry events, conventions, and exhibitions.

3. Institutional & B2B Sales

  • Pitch training programs, certifications, and upskilling courses to:
  • Art schools
  • Tattoo studios
  • Creative institutes
  • Close bulk enrollments, group discounts, or institutional tie-ups.
  • Work closely with the academic team to customize offerings where required.

4. Referral & Affiliate Ecosystem

  • Design and manage referral programs for:
  • Existing students & alumni
  • Tattoo artists & Tattoo artist influencers
  • Vendors and tattoo suppliers
  • Track referrals, payouts, and performance metrics.

5. Collaboration with Marketing & Sales

  • Work with marketing to:
  • Convert offline leads into structured sales funnels
  • Improve conversion from walk-ins, events, and referrals
  • Provide field-level insights to improve messaging and targeting.
  • Ensure smooth handover to counselors and follow-ups.

6. Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Maintain clear reports on:
  • Leads generated
  • Conversion ratios
  • Revenue contribution
  • Cost per acquisition (offline)
  • Continuously optimize channels based on ROI.

7. Target-Driven Responsibility

  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets from offline and partnership-led channels.
  • Be directly accountable for student enrolments and revenue numbers, not just lead generation.
  • Work with defined monthly sales targets, conversion ratios, and closure benchmarks.
  • Drive consistent pipeline creation to ensure predictable revenue flow.

8. Execution Mindset

  • This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role, not a coordination or support role.
  • The role demands fieldwork, follow-ups, negotiations, and closure ownership.
  • Must be comfortable working under clear targets and pressure to deliver numbers.

Key Skills & Traits Required

  • 35 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or institutional sales
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Self-driven, field-oriented, and execution-focused
  • Experience in education, training, or creative industries is a strong plus
  • Comfortable working with targets and performance-based incentives
