Job Description

Aetos is a 22-year old engineering services company that works at the intersection of engineering and technology — where the physics is complex and the stakes are high. We are focused on niche software sales, product indigenization, simulation services, EMI/EMC testing, and engineering services for aerospace, defence, automotive/EV, drones, and naval sectors.

This role is for someone who can hold a conversation with an engineer at HAL in the morning and close a multi-lakh software deal with a procurement head in the afternoon. You will own the full sales cycle — from identifying the right contacts inside large defence organisations and DPSUs, to running demos, navigating long procurement timelines, and converting relationships into revenue.

 

What You Will Do

  • Build and work a pipeline of target accounts — HAL, DRDO labs, ISRO, Tier-1 defence contractors, aerospace OEMs, and emerging drone & EV companies
  • Own end-to-end BD: prospecting, introductory meetings, technical presentations, proposal development, and deal closure
  • Position Aetos's simulation and testing capabilities against customer problems — not just products against a catalogue
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to design proposals, scope engagements, and respond to RFPs/RFQs
  • Track account activity, pipeline health, and forecasts; report clearly to leadership without being told to
  • Stay current on programme timelines, acquisition priorities, and technology shifts relevant to our customers

What We Are Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, BD, or application engineering — ideally in defence, aerospace, EDA/simulation software, or test & measurement
  • Engineering degree (electronics, electrical, mechanical, or related)
  • Eagerness to learn technical aspects fast
  • Experience navigating complex B2B sales cycles with long lead times and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication — you can write a crisp follow-up email and also hold your ground in a technical review meeting
  • Self-directed: you set your own agenda, don't wait for leads to be handed to you, and own your numbers
