Job Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager – Government Sales to lead our efforts in expanding business opportunities within the government sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of government procurement processes, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and a track record of winning government contracts. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue business opportunities with central, state, and local government agencies. Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects through government tenders (GeM, CPP, eProcurement portals), direct contacts, and strategic partnerships.
  • Tender & Proposal Management: Monitor and respond to relevant government RFPs, RFQs, and EOIs. Lead the proposal and bid preparation process, ensuring compliance with all requirements and timely submissions.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong relationships with key decision-makers in government departments, PSUs, and ministries. Represent the company in meetings, industry events, and government forums.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop go-to-market strategies for public sector engagement. Work with internal teams (product, finance, legal) to structure deals aligned with government procurement norms.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity reports. Ensure adherence to compliance, documentation, and audit standards required in government dealings.
Key Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in B2G (Business to Government) sales, preferably in  IT solutions, telecom, defense, infrastructure, healthcare. 
  • Proven track record in winning and managing government accounts and large-scale contracts.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of government procurement portals like GeM, CPPP, etc. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and project management capabilities.
  • Understanding of legal and compliance aspects of government contracts.
