Role Description This is a full-time, remote Business Development Intern role. The intern will support lead generation activities by identifying potential customers, qualifying leads, and maintaining accurate records in CRM tools. They will conduct structured market research on target segments, competitors, and customer needs to inform outreach strategies and product positioning. Daily tasks include assisting with outbound communication (emails, calls, social channels), coordinating initial conversations with prospects, and supporting the preparation of pitch decks and proposals. The intern will also collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to track pipeline progress, gather feedback from prospective customers, and contribute to continuous improvement of business development processes.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills and Market Research abilities to understand customer segments, evaluate data, and identify growth opportunities.
- Clear, professional Communication skills (written and verbal) to engage prospects, document findings, and collaborate with internal teams.
- Lead Generation and basic Customer Service experience or aptitude to build prospect lists, qualify leads, and handle initial prospect queries respectfully.
- Interest in SaaS, B2B software, or SME-focused products, with the willingness to learn about integrated business systems.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations) and openness to using CRM or sales enablement software.
- Comfort working with India-focused SME customers across regions and languages; knowledge of Indian business context is an advantage.
