Why build this
- India's D2C wave has been limited to venture-funded D2C brands today
- The art of selling on your own website is not democratised. There are 500k-1M sellers who can sell D2C but can at best sell on marketplaces
- Philosophically - we feel brand owners should spend most of their time on the product and not on channel optimization
- Shopify / Status-quo software solve for work-flow management of storefront but don't do enough on helping merchants sell well!
Team And Scale
We're at $8M ARR and had hit profitability earlier in the year. We've recently raised series-B from led by Bessemer Venture Partners (who had famously led Series A for Shopify in 2010) with participation from Elevation Capital, General Catalyst (fka Venture Highway) and Chiratae Ventures.

If managing a business is challenging, imagine how exciting it would be to

face of the company in front of a variety of sellers of a variety of
businesses. In addition to interacting day to day with sellers of different
categories, you will be learning a lot to improve your soft skills -
communication skill, interpersonal skill, coordination skill, confidence skill,

A day in the life of a Business Development Executive
- Create and execute business plans that result in hitting sales goals.
- Conduct assigned number of product demos / presentations to the
client.
- Using internal tool to manage the entire sales lifecycle.
- Create meaningful business relationships with prospect clients.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the assigned vertical industry.
- Conduct assigned number of sales. onboarding proposals delivered
- Use the various training to continuously grow your personal knowledge of our product, sales, and process.
What will an ideal candidate look like
- Professional Experience: 1+ years of experience in an MNC / Start-up
environment or any reputed organisation / previous e-commerce
Experience Will Be Preferred.
- Educational Background: Graduation / Postgraduate in Business,
Marketing, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheet or sales related
CRM.
- Language Proficiency: Should have strong speaking proficiency on
Hindi & English language (must have)
- Sales-Centric Mindset: Demonstrated ability to understand sellers
need, proactively address sellers problem on running business on
marketplace, and drive overall benefits on moving to ShopDeck
platform.
- Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with
sellers.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to
interpret data & problem translate insights into actionable
- Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal
sales team.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced
environment.
- Time Management: Ability to plan and prioritise workloads and
delegate accordingly.
