SASMOS HET Technologies is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Executive to strengthen our presence in the Aerospace & Defence sector.
This role is critical to driving business growth by identifying strategic opportunities, managing complex sales cycles, and building long-term relationships with key stakeholders including global customers, defence PSUs, OEMs, and government agencies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of defence procurement processes, experience in handling RFQs/RFPs, and the ability to work cross-functionally to convert opportunities into successful business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end RFQ/RFP management, ensuring timely and high-quality responses in coordination with cross-functional teams (engineering, program, finance, etc.)
- Drive proposal development, pricing strategy, commercial negotiations, and contract closure
- Own and deliver on annual revenue targets, order booking, and receivables management
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across defence procurement programs, aerospace platforms, and emerging technology areas
- Build, nurture, and expand relationships with Defence PSUs, government bodies, OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and global customers
- Act as a Key Account Manager (KAM) for strategic customers, ensuring high engagement and long-term partnership development
- Conduct market research, competition analysis, and intelligence gathering to support business strategy
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure solution alignment with customer requirements and specifications
- Track and analyze industry trends, regulatory frameworks, and policy changes impacting the aerospace & defence sector
- Drive customer engagement initiatives, including reviews, meetings, and customized reporting
- Develop and maintain MIS dashboards and performance reports for monthly and quarterly business reviews
- Represent the organization at industry events, defence forums, exhibitions, and customer meetings
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics / Electrical preferred); MBA is an added advantage
- 4–8 years of experience in Business Development within Aerospace & Defence (Domestic & Global markets)
- Proven experience in handling global customers and managing key accounts
- Strong understanding of:
- Defence procurement lifecycle
- Government contracting processes
- Aerospace systems and platforms
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex B2B and government sales cycles
