Role Overview: The Admission Counsellor / Business Development Executive is responsible for driving student enrolment for online academic programs. This role blends educational advising with high-performance sales, focusing on identifying prospective students, understanding their career goals, and guiding them through the enrolment funnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Management & Outreach:
  • Conduct outbound calls and follow up on inquiries generated through marketing campaigns.
  • Manage a high volume of leads via CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to ensure timely engagement.
  • Consultative Advising:
  • Conduct in-depth discovery calls to understand a candidate's professional background and educational needs.
  • Explain program curriculum, faculty expertise, and the specific ROI of online learning.
  • Sales & Conversion:
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly enrollment targets.
  • Overcome objections regarding tuition costs, time commitment, and the validity of online credentials.
  • Application Support:
  • Guide prospective students through the documentation and application process.
  • Liaise with the admissions committee to track the status of applicant files.

Required Skills & Qualifications

EducationBachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience 0–3 years in inside sales, tele-sales, or higher education recruitment.

Communication Exceptional verbal and written skills; ability to build rapport quickly over the phone.

Tech SavvyProficiency in CRM software, Google Workspace/MS Office, and virtual meeting tools (Zoom/Teams).

  • Conversion Rate: The percentage of leads that move from initial inquiry to paid enrollment.
  • Lead Response Time: The speed at which new inquiries are contacted.

  • Student Retention: Ensuring students are correctly fit for the program to minimize early withdrawals.
