This remote internship (India) is ideal for early-career sellers who want hands-on experience in full-cycle business development and revenue generation.
Primary title (best-performing on LinkedIn): Business Development Intern
Role & Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate qualified leads through outbound channels (email, phone, LinkedIn) and inbound lead follow-up.
- Research target accounts, build lists, and personalise outreach to decision-makers in target industries.
- Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities using standard frameworks and route high-potential leads to the sales team.
- Book demos and meetings for senior BDRs/Account Executives and coordinate pre-demo discovery notes.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, update lead statuses, and produce weekly pipeline reports to track progress.
- Support sales campaigns, prepare proposal templates, and contribute to continuous improvement of outreach sequences.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Currently based in India with ability to work remotely during business hours.
- Practical experience with CRM or sales tools (HubSpot or Salesforce).
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator for prospecting.
- Hands-on experience executing cold calling and cold emailing campaigns.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to CRM data hygiene.
- Motivated, coachable, and target-driven with a growth mindset.
Preferred
- Previous internship or exposure to B2B SaaS sales or lead generation roles.
- Basic proficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel for reporting and dashboards.
- Familiarity with sales qualification frameworks (e.g., BANT) and outreach automation tools.
