Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Executive role based in Mumbai. The Business Development Executive will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and nurture relationships with consultants, freelancers, and client organizations, and support the expansion of marketplace. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and lead generation, conducting outreach through calls, emails, and meetings, and presenting platform capabilities to potential partners and clients. The role involves managing key accounts, tracking performance metrics, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing collaboration. The Business Development Executive will also gather market insights, provide feedback to improve services, and contribute to revenue growth targets.

Qualifications

  • Strong new business development and lead generation skills, with experience identifying and closing growth opportunities.
  • Solid understanding of business and commercial concepts, including sales cycles, revenue pipelines, and partnership models.
  • Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and confident client-facing interaction.
  • Proven account management capabilities, including relationship building, stakeholder management, and retention strategies.
  • Experience in B2B sales, recruitment, HR tech, or freelancing platforms is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, prioritize tasks, and meet targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, online collaboration platforms, and basic data analysis for sales reporting is beneficial.
