Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Executive role based in Surat. The Business Development Executive will identify potential clients, research target markets, and generate qualified leads through calls, meetings, events, and digital channels. The role involves presenting Decibel Consulting's services, understanding client pain points, and proposing tailored consulting solutions that align with their business goals. The individual will manage and grow a sales pipeline, coordinate with internal consulting teams to create proposals, and support contract negotiations and closures. Ongoing responsibilities include maintaining strong client relationships, tracking sales metrics, preparing reports for leadership, and continuously seeking new opportunities to expand Decibel Consulting's presence in key sectors.
Qualifications
- Strong capabilities in New Business Development and Lead Generation, including prospecting, qualification, and opportunity nurturing.
- Solid understanding of business concepts, with the ability to align consulting solutions to clients operational, HR, and sales challenges.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear presentation, active listening, and professional correspondence in English and local languages as needed.
- Account Management skills to maintain long-term client relationships, drive repeat business, and support cross-selling opportunities.
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or consulting (B2B or professional services preferred).
- Comfort working in a target-driven environment, with strong negotiation and closing abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and basic sales reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working on-site with clients and internal teams in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
