To strengthen our presence in South India, we are looking for a dynamic and self-driven Business Development Executive for the Bangalore region.

Role Overview

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for expanding Consortium Gifts presence in the Bangalore market by generating new business opportunities, building relationships with corporate clients, and driving regional revenue growth. The role requires strong prospecting skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to manage the sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify and develop new corporate leads within Bangalore and nearby regions.
  • Conduct cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, networking, and field visits to generate new opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers such as HR, Admin, Marketing, and Procurement heads.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects and consistently follow up on leads.

2. Client Acquisition & Sales Conversion

  • Initiate conversations with potential clients to understand their gifting requirements, budgets, and timelines.
  • Present customized corporate gifting solutions aligned with client needs.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and close deals independently.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.

3. Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients.
  • Ensure repeat business and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to understand upcoming requirements.

4. Sales Reporting & Target Management

  • Take ownership of individual sales targets and revenue generation.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and closures.
  • Provide regular updates on sales pipeline and market developments.

5. Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with sourcing, design, and logistics teams to ensure smooth order execution.
  • Coordinate for product samples, branding approvals, and dispatch timelines.
  • Ensure timely communication between clients and internal teams.

6. Market Intelligence

  • Track industry trends and competitor activities within the Bangalore market.
  • Identify opportunities across sectors such as IT/ITeS, startups, fintech, and corporate offices.
  • Share market insights and product feedback with the internal team.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to generate leads and close B2B sales.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven approach.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to manage client interactions independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
  • 23 years of experience in B2B sales, corporate sales, advertising, or promotional merchandise industry.
  • Experience in handling corporate clients is preferred.
  • Comfortable with field visits and client meetings.
