About the Role

Elucidata is seeking a results-driven Business Development Representative to fuel our sales pipeline and drive go-to-market execution within the TechBio sector. In this role, you will move beyond foundational learning to take full ownership of the top-of-funnel sales process. You will be responsible for generating qualified leads and setting up meetings for the Sales team by engaging with key decision-makers across Target Discovery, Upstream Biologics, Clinical Development, and Medical Affairs at BioPharma companies. You will independently identify high-value accounts, craft strategic messaging, and position Elucidata's AI-ready data platform, Polly, as a critical solution to their data challenges. This is a performance-oriented role where your outreach and prospecting efforts will directly impact the company's revenue growth.

What You'll Own

  • Strategic Prospecting & Qualification: Own the process of identifying and qualifying high-potential accounts and decision-makers (e.g., Clinical Ops, RWE Leads) to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Execution of Outreach Campaigns: Drive outbound activity by crafting and executing personalized, multi-channel outreach campaigns (Email, LinkedIn, Cold Calling) to engage target personas effectively
  • Ensure Pipeline Management: Take ownership of CRM (Salesforce/HubSpot) hygiene; diligently log activities, manage leads, and ensure accurate data is available for forecasting.
  • Value Proposition Articulation: Master the ability to articulate complex scientific and technical value propositions to senior stakeholders, tailoring the message to specific therapeutic areas and industry trends.
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Analyze your own outreach performance metrics (open rates, response rates, conversion rates) to continuously refine messaging and improve campaign ROI.
  • Collaborative Strategy: Partner with Business Development Managers to align prospecting strategies with broader sales goals and provide feedback from the field regarding market reception.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Domain Aptitude: Strong understanding of (or ability to quickly master) the business models of Pharma & Biotech, and how AI/data impacts Clinical Development and Medical Affairs.
  • Exceptional Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to persuade, negotiate, and clearly articulate a complex value proposition to technical audiences.
  • Results-Oriented: A hunter mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets/goals; you are self-motivated and driven by delivering tangible results.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Proficient in using data tools (Google Sheets/Excel) to organize prospecting lists and analyze outreach performance.
  • Tech Savvy: Strong familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools (e.g., Apollo, ZoomInfo).
  • Resilience & Agility: The ability to handle rejection, adapt to a fast-paced startup environment, and pivot strategies based on market feedback.
