Job Summary
The Risk Data Insights & Reporting Analyst will play a critical role in enabling data-driven risk governance through high-quality data management, advanced analytics, and structured reporting. This role will be responsible for aggregating risk data, generating actionable insights, and delivering reporting to support management oversight, regulatory requirements, and strategic decision-making. The individual will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and continuous enhancement of analytics capabilities. The role requires flexibility to support global stakeholders, including working in rotational/night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Data Management, Analytics & Insights
- Source, aggregate, and manage data across multiple internal systems to support governance, risk, and management reporting while ensuring adherence to data integrity standards (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency, and traceability).
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, emerging risks, performance drivers, and control gaps, and facilitate investigations of metric breaches with risk owners.
- Translate complex datasets into actionable insights and forward-looking analysis to support decision-making, risk prioritization, and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with data providers and enterprise teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment across data sources.
Reporting, Visualization & Governance
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and recurring reports aligned with risk appetite, KPIs, KRIs, and KCIs, ensuring clarity, consistency, and decision-focused outputs.
- Deliver timely reporting to management committees, boards, and regulatory stakeholders, ensuring alignment with governance and regulatory expectations.
- Establish and maintain reporting standards, documentation, and procedures to ensure consistency, sustainability, and audit readiness.
- Support metric definition, periodic refreshes, and threshold alignment in collaboration with stakeholders.
Quality Assurance & Controls
- Perform end-to-end quality assurance on reporting outputs, validating data accuracy, completeness, methodology, and narrative consistency prior to publication.
- Implement structured QA frameworks including peer reviews, validation routines, and exception tracking to meet governance and audit requirements.
- Ensure reporting outputs are fully documented, reproducible, and supported with clear evidence of review and approval.
Continuous Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting, reduce manual dependencies, and enhance operational efficiency using analytics and technology solutions.
- Leverage tools such as dashboards, automation platforms, and analytics capabilities to improve insight quality and reporting effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement in data quality, reporting processes, and depth of analytical insights.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large and complex datasets.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Microsoft Apps (including SharePoint and Copilot)
- Visualization tools (Power BI / Tableau)
- Data handling tools (SQL or equivalent)
- Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate – preferred
- Proven experience in risk reporting, data analytics, or MIS within the banking/financial services sector.
- Hands-on experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel.
- Strong understanding of risk frameworks, including KRIs, KPIs, and governance reporting structures.
- High attention to detail with strong data validation and quality control mindset.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, including interaction with senior leadership.
- Flexibility to work in rotational/night shifts to support global stakeholders.
Good-to-Have
- Exposure to regulatory frameworks (Basel, OSFI, or similar).
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in risk reporting, data analytics, or MIS roles
- Experience with data platforms, ETL processes, or SQL-based data extraction.
- Knowledge of automation tools (PowerApps, Power Automate, VBA, Python).
- Familiarity with lending, credit risk, or portfolio monitoring processes.
- Exposure to transformation or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prior experience in banking or Financial Services.
- Bachelor's/Master degree in related field.
