About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to contribute to the Legacy Decommissioning Project (LDP) - Statutory Implementation workstream. This role is accountable for the quality, consistency, and timely delivery of assigned statutory subledger scope for Life and Non-Life processes, supporting the successful implementation of FPSL-based statutory accounting capabilities. You will be a key contributor to a high-visibility transformation initiative that directly shapes Swiss Re's finance future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a recognized subject-matter expert for assigned statutory subledger capabilities, providing authoritative guidance across the workstream
  • Independently produce and validate high-quality business requirements and clarifications, ensuring alignment with accounting intent, regulatory expectations, and approved LDP scope
  • Take end-to-end ownership of the business quality of assigned deliverables through design and testing phases
  • Proactively identify business, accounting, or data risks within assigned scope and articulate clear, pragmatic recommendations in line with the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) approach
  • Define, execute, and review business-relevant test scenarios that accurately reflect statutory and subledger requirements
  • Ensure test cases and expected outcomes provide clear evidence for business sign-off and auditability
  • Collaborate effectively with project members, IT counterparts, and carrier management colleagues to drive aligned and timely delivery.

About the Team

The Finance Platform Transformation team drives the modernization of Swiss Re's finance landscape, replacing legacy solutions with a scalable, integrated platform that strengthens statutory, regulatory, and management reporting capabilities. Within this transformation, the Legacy Decommissioning Project (LDP) delivers critical milestones to safely retire legacy systems while ensuring continuity, control, and regulatory compliance across the finance value chain. The Statutory Implementation workstream focuses on implementing FPSL-based statutory subledger capabilities for Life and Non-Life, covering business requirements, solution validation, testing, and readiness to support on-time milestone delivery for all Swiss Re Legal Entities reporting under local statutory GAAP.

About You

You are a dynamic and creative individual who collaborates well with cross-functional teams from diverse backgrounds and can independently lead various workstream topics. You are a confident communicator who can explain complex concepts clearly to a wide range of stakeholders. You bring structure, analytical rigor, and an outcome-oriented mindset to everything you do - and you thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes transformation environments.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Educational background: University degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a quantitative field Actuarial knowledge is a plus
  • Relevant experience:5-7 years of experience in similar positions within Finance or Risk Management, with solid experience in statutory accounting and current Life and/or Non-Life subledger processes
  • Subledger and platform knowledge: Strong conceptual understanding of subledger architectures and data flows, with FPSL experience being a strong advantage knowledge of LFD is preferred
  • Transformation track record: Proven contribution to large-scale finance transformation or system implementation initiatives, demonstrating the ability to deliver in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Independent and structured working style: Ability to operate independently in a complex environment with a structured, analytical, and outcome-oriented approach

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Experience with Actuarial concepts and frameworks, complementing the finance and accounting skill set
  • Familiarity with regulatory and statutory GAAP requirements across multiple legal entities
  • Strong team-player mindset with an eagerness to actively contribute to overall team spirit and cohesion
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities without compromising quality
  • Excellent oral and written English skills, with the ability to communicate with clarity and confidence across all levels of the organization
