Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Registrations: Streamline patient registration and data capture processes.
- EMR: Support and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards for Electronic Medical Records systems.
- LIS: Improve lab test management and reporting.
- RIS: Enhance imaging order and result management in Radiology Information Systems.
- Insurance Claims: Optimize the insurance claims process and resolve disputes.
- Reports: Create actionable reports for decision-making in healthcare teams.
HIPAA Compliance: Ensure adherence to HIPAA privacy rules in HIS systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Information Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4-7 years of experience in Business Analysis within healthcare IT (specifically HIS systems).
- Strong knowledge of EMR, LIS, RIS, and Insurance Claims Management.
- Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient data privacy practices.
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams (IT, clinical, administrative).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication (written & verbal) skills.
- Familiarity with healthcare workflows and system integration.
- Experience with Agile or similar project management methodologies.
- Good Documentation Skills: Adept at creating clear, concise documentation (BRDs, FSDs, test cases).
- Requirements Management: Strong ability to handle scope, timelines, and release management effectively.
- Experience in developing Functional Test Cases, BRD, and FSD documentation.
- Database Skills: Preferred familiarity with database management and query techniques.
