About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Bookkeeper to join our growing team at Xeinadin. This pivotal role involves managing and delivering high-quality bookkeeping services to a diverse portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of our clients businesses. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a dynamic team environment while developing their expertise in UK and Irish bookkeeping practices.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background with relevant professional qualifications, including a CA Inter or BCom degree. Additionally, candidates should have at least two years of bookkeeping experience within the UK or Irish markets, preferably within an accountancy practice setting. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero, and familiarity with other financial tools and applications are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for a range of key activities, including but not limited to:

  • Maintaining day-to-day bookkeeping records for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact for financial queries and support.
  • Implementing, maintaining, and supporting accounting software solutions, with a focus on Xero, to streamline financial processes.
  • Preparing accurate financial statements, including income and expenditure reports, to provide insights into clients financial health.
  • Reconciling balance sheets and profit & loss accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data.
  • Processing invoices, payments, receipts, and income with high precision, adhering to deadlines and regulatory standards.
  • Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns in compliance with relevant regulations, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable, including credit control activities to optimize cash flow.
  • Providing support for ad hoc financial and administrative tasks as required by clients or management.
