Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • BigPanda Platform Development: Develop and customize solutions using the BigPanda platform to streamline incident management and automate alerting processes. Leverage BigPandas features to enhance the efficiency of IT operations.
  • Integration Development: Design and implement integrations between BigPanda and various monitoring, alerting, and ticketing tools used within the organization. Ensure seamless data flow and event correlation.
  • Incident Management Workflow: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define incident management workflows and implement them within the BigPanda platform. Streamline the process of identifying, categorizing, and resolving incidents.
  • Custom Application Development: Create custom applications and tools to extend the functionality of BigPanda and integrate it with other internal systems. Address specific operational needs and improve overall efficiency.
  • Alerts and Notification Management: Configure alerting rules and notification mechanisms within BigPanda. Ensure timely and accurate alert delivery to appropriate teams or individuals.
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitor the performance and effectiveness of BigPanda integrations and workflows. Identify areas for improvement and implement optimizations to enhance system performance.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BigPanda integrations, ensuring a high level of system availability and reliability. Provide support to end-users and assist with problem resolution.
  • Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive technical documentation for BigPanda integrations, workflows, and custom applications. Conduct training sessions for team members and stakeholders as needed.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices within BigPanda configurations and custom applications to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaboration and Innovation: Collaborate with other developers, IT operations teams, and stakeholders to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Contribute ideas and insights to optimize IT incident management processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience as a BigPanda Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in working with the BigPanda platform and its APIs.
  • Experience in developing integrations with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Nagios, New Relic, Prometheus, PagerDuty).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go for custom application development.
  • Familiarity with incident management and ITIL processes is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver projects on time
