A fast-growing organization in the FMCG sales and distribution sector, focused on expanding market share across India through strong field sales, distributor partnerships, and retail execution. We serve a mix of modern trade, general trade, and emerging channels and are scaling our on-ground sales capability to accelerate revenue and distribution.
Join Mindtel's sales team as an on-site Business Development Executive to build new accounts, strengthen retail and distributor relationships, and drive consistent sales growth across your territory.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prospect, qualify and convert new retail and distributor accounts across assigned territory to meet monthly sales targets.
- Execute daily route plans and in-store activities to ensure product availability, optimal shelf placement, and POSM deployment.
- Manage distributor and retailer relationships: negotiate commercial terms, follow up on orders, and ensure timely collections and deliveries.
- Conduct regular market checks and competitor intelligence to identify growth opportunities and feedback to trade marketing.
- Use CRM to capture leads, update order pipelines, and generate accurate daily/weekly sales reports.
- Collaborate with supply chain and marketing teams to resolve stock-outs, enable promotions, and improve distribution metrics.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferred).
- Proven field sales or business development experience in FMCG or consumer goods (on-site, territory-based).
- Own two-wheeler and valid driving license for frequent field travel.
- Proficiency in CRM usage and reporting (Salesforce or Zoho CRM preferred).
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel for sales tracking and reporting.
- Comfortable with extensive on-ground travel, weekend retail visits, and physically executing merchandising tasks.
Preferred
- Key Account Management exposure or experience with modern trade outlets.
- Negotiation and closing experience with distributors and retailers.
- Prior experience in route-to-market or distributor management models.
