Azure Cloud Solution Architect

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Implementation:

• Design cloud-native solutions within Azure and Kubernetes (AKS) that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Ensure designs adhere to enterprise IT and reference architecture standards.
• Oversee the implementation of designed solutions, ensuring alignment with architecture principles.

Architecture Governance:

• Document architecture decisions for reference and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute actively to architecture governance boards and provide guidance on best practices.
• Expand and evolve reference architecture based on emerging industry trends and organizational needs.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery:

• Work within scrum teams to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies; experience with SAFe methodologies is a plus.

Performance & Security:

• Design solutions with cost efficiency and performance optimization in mind.
• Architect secure applications, integrating IAM with Azure AD using OpenID Connect, SCIM, and OAuth protocols.

Experience and Knowledge:

• Minimum 15 years of IT experience with a focus on cloud and enterprise architecture.
• Strong understanding of Cloud Native Architectures and Cloud Design Patterns.
• Expertise in Azure PaaS services (Functions, API Management, Azure Cache for Redis) and AKS.
• Proficiency with container-based solutions and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Experience with data stores (SQL DB, Cosmos DB, Redis) and messaging services (Event Hubs, Event Grid, Service Bus).
• Familiarity with network topologies such as Hub & Spoke and recurring network components.
• Hands-on experience with automation, CI/CD pipelines in DevOps and GitOps environments.
• Strong grasp of security and compliance best practices in cloud solutions.
