Role Overview:
The AVP – Project Delivery will be responsible for leading, planning, and ensuring the successful execution of BIM and engineering projects across multiple geographies. This leadership role requires a strong understanding of BIM methodologies, project management excellence, and people leadership to drive quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. The position will directly oversee project managers, discipline leads, and delivery teams to ensure on-time and profitable delivery aligned with company standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement delivery strategies, project governance frameworks, and operational standards for all BIM and engineering projects.
- Partner with business and technology teams to align project delivery with organizational goals and client requirements.
- Drive process improvement, standardization, and automation across delivery functions.
Project Delivery Management
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of BIM projects ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Monitor project health, resource utilization, and profitability across ongoing projects.
- Implement best practices in risk management, project scheduling, and change management.
- Review and approve project plans, milestones, and delivery schedules.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a senior point of contact for strategic clients, ensuring delivery excellence and long-term relationship growth.
- Collaborate with the business development and pre-sales teams during project bidding, estimation, and scope definition.
- Manage client escalations and ensure resolution through proactive communication and structured governance.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and build high-performing project teams across disciplines (Architecture, Structure, MEP, Scan-to-BIM, etc.).
- Drive a culture of accountability, performance excellence, and continuous learning.
- Identify and nurture internal talent to build future delivery leadership.
Operational & Financial Oversight
- Oversee project financials including revenue recognition, cost management, and profitability tracking.
- Ensure efficient resource planning, project forecasting, and workload balancing.
- Contribute to budgeting, MIS reporting, and delivery performance dashboards for senior management.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of BIM workflows and project collaboration tools (Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, etc.)
- Proven track record of managing large-scale BIM or AEC projects and teams for global clients (India/US / UK / Middle East).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Architecture, Civil / Structural Engineering, or related field.
- 12–18 years of experience in BIM / AEC project delivery, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- PMP / PRINCE2 certification or equivalent will be an added advantage.
