About The Role

We're building AI systems designed to improve aviation safety, and we need detail-oriented transcribers to help us capture real-world Air Traffic Control (ATC) and pilot communications with precision.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role — ideal for aviation enthusiasts, student pilots, sim pilots, or anyone with a sharp ear and a love of the skies.

What You'll Do
- Transcribe real-world ATC and pilot audio recordings accurately and consistently
- Label speakers, callsigns, clearances, instructions, and responses
- Correctly capture aviation-specific terminology, abbreviations, and standard phraseology
- Follow structured transcription guidelines to meet quality and accuracy standards
- Complete task-based assignments independently at your own pace
Who You Are
- Genuinely interested in or familiar with aviation communications
- A strong, focused listener — especially with noisy, fast-paced, or radio-quality audio
- Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy
- Comfortable working within structured guidelines and formats
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
- No professional aviation license or credentials required
Nice to Have
- Background as a student pilot, flight sim enthusiast, or aviation hobbyist
- Prior transcription experience in any field
- Familiarity with ICAO/FAA communication standards
