Automation Engineer

Overview

Seeking an SDET Lead with 510 years of experience to drive test strategy, lead automation initiatives, and oversee HardwareinLoop testing for complex hardwaresoftware systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, design, and execution of automation for Windowsbased systems.

Own and guide testing of printer ( HardwareinLoop) test strategy; ensure accuracy of hardwaresoftware validation.

Mentor and guide SDETs on automation, test design, and best practices.

Manage test processes using Jira and TestRail; ensure traceability and reporting.

Collaborate with development, hardware, QA, and product teams to improve quality outcomes.

Drive Agile practices, participate in Scrum ceremonies, and ensure high delivery standards.

Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide technical solutions.

Required Skills

Coordinate multiteam plans, dependencies, and risk/issue management.

Enable Agile cadences across teams (Scrum, Kanban); release planning & milestones.

Drive crossteam retrospectives; address systemic bottlenecks; standardize best practices.

Ensure alignment across Product, Engineering, Design, and Ops

Engineering Enablers: CI/CD, trunkbased development, test automation, feature flags

Metrics & Observability: Cycle time, throughput, escaped defects, deployment frequency, change failure rate

Collaboration: Miro/Mural for facilitation, Slack/Teams, Dashboards

Strong handson experience in Windows automation frameworks & scripting.

Understanding of system integration testing involving hardware components.

Experience in printer testing is a big plus.

Expertise with Jira, TestRail, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Ability to lead teams, conduct reviews, and make technical decisions.

Solid analytical and problemsolving skills.
