- Candidates are required to bring their own laptop equipped with AutoCAD software for the practical test.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Draftsman with strong expertise in piping and fittings design and estimation. The ideal candidate will have 5–9 years of hands-on experience preparing detailed drawings and structural designs in line with end-user standards. Sould be well-versed with estimation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed pipe fitting drawings including miter bends, tees, reducers, and spools.
- Develop structural designs and layouts as per client/end-user specifications.
- Support estimation activities by providing accurate material take-offs and dimensional details.
- Ensure drawings comply with industry codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to finalize designs and resolve technical queries.
- Maintain drawing records and revisions in accordance with project documentation standards.
Required Experience & Skills
- 5–9 years of professional experience in pipe and fitting design and estimation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and related drafting tools.
- Strong knowledge of piping components, fabrication standards, and structural detailing.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and convert them into precise drawings.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in estimation and drafting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Certification in AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software preferred.
