Job Description:

The opportunity:

The Primary design engineer will work on designing on primary design engineering for High voltage switchgear.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Based on inputs received from the technical project lead and colleges from the design department ensurethe timely submission of 3D modelled HV Products for various substation configurations/requirements.

  • Coordinate with other cross functions like project management, Design engineers, and secondary designsfor design aspects.

  • Preparation of 3D modelling of high voltage Switchgears (GIS, Hybrid switchgear, Live tank, dead tank breakers etc), generating BoM of modules and products and creating part numbers using SAP/ERP.

  • Co-ordination and reviewing the 2D and 3D drawings before submitting the same to customers.

  • Preparation of guaranteed technical parameters for various high voltage.

  • Addressing the technical queries raised by customers during the execution of the project in caserequired.

  • Supporting various cross functions like SCM, project management, and quality for understanding thecustomer requirements and specifications if required, supporting onsite installation and commissioning colleagues for understanding the customer drawingsand other technical support.

  • Coordinate with customers, resolve queries, and ensure the engineering drawings are approved ontime.

  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

  • You hold a Diploma / Bachelor's in Electrical / Mechanical Engineeringwith 4 to 6 years of experience.

  • Hands of experience in Creo and Windchill.

  • Experience in working in Switchgear mechanical design.

  • Knowledge of relevant international standards ex. IEEE, IEC, etc.

  • Understanding of Manufacturing Drawings & Electrical Schematics.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
