Roles & Responsibilities
- Dispense medications and provide appropriate pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring accuracy and safety in medication delivery.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective medication therapy plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Conduct comprehensive medication reviews, assessing patient medication histories to identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, and allergies.
- Counsel patients on the correct use of medications, including dosage, administration, side effects, and storage requirements. 5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medication logs in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Monitor stock levels, notify senior staff of shortages, and maintain inventory records.
- Conduct regular stock checks, manage expiry dates, and maintain adequate stock levels.
- Order and receive medications from pharmacy stores.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of drugs within the pharmacy.
- Ensure all pharmacy bulk store activities comply with established protocols.
- Ensure proper maintenance of inventory records
- Be responsible for ordering pharmaceutical drugs & control of inventory in accordance with the annual budget and organizational objectives and policy
