Key Responsibilities:
• Experience in dealing with general corporate matters that include without limitation cross-border commercial transactions with a strong understanding of emerging international contracting trends, managing regulatory and contractual compliance requirements (e.g. experience in managing Export Control compliances), dispute and litigation management, HR / employment matters, and M&A.
• Reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including outsourced service agreements, vendor agreements, partnership agreements and reseller agreements.
• Supporting the in-house compliance programs for the territories.
• Supervising and mentoring junior counsels in drafting and reviewing proposals, responding to RFPs, etc.
• Supporting disputes in collaboration with external counsel and the Global Legal Head's office.
• Analysing legal issues and commercial risks, presenting clear recommendations to assure legal compliance.
• Collaborating with support functions across the business including Operations, HR, Finance, Risk and IT Security.
Basic Skills:
• Diligent at identifying problems along with an ability to present solutions that are creative and pragmatic.
• Experience of managing work and teams in highly-matrixed organizations through direct and indirect influence
• Commitment to expanding business, legal and technical skills.
• Proficiency to deal with computer systems that will be supplemented with contracts management software
• Develop policies, procedures and guidelines to further the requirements of the compliance arm under Legal.
• Perform legal research to assist in preparation of accurate and timely reports, legal advice, case files, and other legal documents.
