Job Title: Associate Director, Finance & Accounts

Direct Reportee: Up to SVP

Location: Gurugram

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Industry: Services in the Protection and Facility Industry

Company Turnover: Above 2000 Crore

Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director to lead the financial management of our security & facility service-based organisation. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, financial expertise, and business acumen to oversee the company's financial health, compliance, reporting, and planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning process.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions and growth.
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, and initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP / Ind AS.
  • Ensure budgetary control on a monthly basis.
  • Oversee statutory audits, internal audits, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (Income Tax, GST, Companies Act, etc.).
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Capable of monitoring accounts receivable and timely billing on a monthly basis.
  • Should be capable of handling Income Tax, GST, and other tax compliance by liaising with consultants.
  • Cost Control & Optimization
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Review pricing strategies and contracts to ensure profitability.
  • Monitor client profitability and the company's gross margin.
  • Treasury & Cash Flow Management
  • Manage working capital, cash flow, and banking relationships.
  • Monitor fund utilization and assess short-term and long-term financing requirements.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and risks.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals across multiple locations.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Capable of handling a large team of 100+ members.
  • ERP and Systems Oversight
  • Lead digital finance initiatives, including ERP implementation/improvement (SAP/Oracle/Navision, etc.).
  • Process enhancement and automation, along with the creation of SOPs and policies, ensure robust control.
  • Ensure robust financial systems and accurate real-time reporting.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a key business partner to the CFO, CEO, department heads, and board members.
  • Present financial insights and reports to senior leadership and shareholders.
  • Should be capable of handling the accounts payable of a large-sized company.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA); CA is compulsory, and an MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute is a plus.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in financial leadership roles, preferably in the service industry (e.g., IT/ITES, logistics, facilities management, hospitality, consulting).
  • Proven track record in managing finance for a company with 1200+ crore turnover.
  • Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, taxation, compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Hands-on experience in ERP systems and financial automation tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Capability to handle a business partnering team located at multiple locations throughout India
