Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President Supply Chain Management (Retail SME - BPS & Technology)
We are seeking a senior Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert (SME) with proven experience in retail supply chain operations and digital transformation. This leader will guide global retail clients on supply chain strategy, operating model redesign, network optimization, technology enablement, and BPS delivery models.
This role requires deep functional expertise across end-to-end retail supply chain - forecasting, replenishment, inventory planning, warehousing, logistics, store operations integration - combined with product, analytics, and process excellence capabilities.
You will partner with product, technology, engineering, and delivery teams to design scalable digital solutions and managed services for global retailers.
Responsibilities
Domain Expertise & Advisory
.Act as the senior authority on retail supply chain operations and technology
.Provide strategic guidance across:
oDemand forecasting & replenishment
oInventory planning & accuracy
oDC / warehouse operations & automation
oTransport & logistics optimization
oStore replenishment & back-of-house ops
oVendor collaboration, ASN, and inbound flow
oReverse logistics, waste & shrink control
.Conduct maturity assessments, supply chain diagnostics, and opportunity mapping.
Digital & Product Enablement
.Translate retail supply chain requirements into digital product capabilities:
oERP / OMS / WMS / TMS integration
oPlanning & forecasting systems
oStore inventory & execution apps
oLast mile & returns platforms
.Validate feature designs, business rules, workflows, and user stories.
.Support UAT cycles and solution accelerators development.
.Drive adoption of analytics, automation, and AI/ML scenarios:
oPredictive demand
oSafety stock optimization
oException-based inventory management
oTransport cost simulation
oNetwork digital twin use cases
BPS Service Design & Delivery Excellence
.Define BPS delivery models for retail supply chain functions:
oReplenishment desks
oDemand/inventory planning hubs
oLogistics control tower
oSupplier collaboration desks
oStore operations support
oReturns and refund governance
.Build SOPs, delivery playbooks, SLAs, governance, quality frameworks.
Performance Management & Analytics
.Build KPI and scorecard frameworks:
oOTIF / Fill Rate / Service Level
oInventory Turns & Accuracy
oSupply Chain Cost / Cost-to-Serve
oForecast Accuracy / Bias
oLead time & cycle time
oShrink, returns & waste rates
.Partner with analytics to enable dashboards, scorecards & predictive models.
Stakeholder & Leadership Influence
.Work with CXOs/VPs across retail, supply chain, technology, finance, product, and store ops.
.Support pursuits, RFP responses, and client presentations.
.Represent company in industry events, thought leadership forums.
Capability Development
.Train delivery teams and product managers on retail supply chain concepts.
Build reusable templates, thought-leadership content, and best-practice frameworks.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
.Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
.MBA/master's preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
.Relevant/Significant years in retail supply chain (supermarket, omni-channel, department store, or specialty retail).
.Leadership experience in:
oSupply chain operations or transformation roles
oForecasting, replenishment, inventory & distribution
.Consulting, BPS, shared services, or tech-enabled supply chain exposure preferred.
Technical & Functional Knowledge
.Hands-on understanding of:
oERP/Merch systems
oDemand planning & replenishment tools
oWMS/TMS/OMS systems
oRFID, automation, robotics, IoT in supply chain
.Strong analytics, forecasting, and network design fluency.
