We are seeking a proactive Assistant Sales Manager to drive sales growth and increase market share within the North India region. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in B2B sales within the water industry or allied sectors. This role is crucial for managing the entire sales cycle, from generating leads to ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting ambitious sales targets. This position requires significant travel and a can-do attitude to succeed in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Target Achievement: Be accountable for meeting monthly and quarterly sales targets on orders, shipments, and opportunity pipelines. This includes driving sales growth, increasing market share, and implementing strategies to improve margins through value selling and pricing adjustments.
- Customer & Territory Management: Manage customer relationships as the single point of contact for coordination. You will develop and maintain comprehensive account plans and maximize your face-time with customers. The role involves direct sales coverage of a diverse range of industry segments and customer types.
- Process & Documentation: Prepare and maintain all sales documentation, including the Sales Funnel and Client Profile, and ensure all sales parameters are updated on the CRM system (SFDC). You will be responsible for the timely submission of technical and commercial offers and will follow up with customers to close orders and collect payments.
- Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Understand customer requirements to offer the correct product or technology solution using a problem-solving approach. You will coordinate with supply chain and service teams to ensure order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Continuous Improvement: Imbibe and practice Veralto Enterprise System Tools (Visual Management, Policy Deployment, Problem-Solving Process) to drive continuous improvement in all sales processes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 8+ years of B2B/B2C experience in Sales, Application, or Technical Support within the Water Industry or related sectors (e.g., instrumentation, automation).
- Education: A Graduate Engineer (Chemical, Electronics, or Instrumentation).
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to multitask in a high-paced, complex business environment.
- Prior experience using a CRM system is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build long-term relationships.
- Travel: This role requires extensive travel, estimated at >80%, across North India.
