Job Description

Role Overview

Responsible for end-to-end store operations with a strong focus on customer experience, sales execution, and operational discipline. The role requires comfort around pets, hands-on involvement on the floor, and ownership of inventory, spa coordination, and local deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Experience & Sales

  • Deliver high-quality in-store experience; engage pet parents with relevant product guidance
  • Drive conversion, upselling, and cross-selling across food, treats, grooming, and accessories
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and service recovery independently
  • Build repeat customer relationships and support retention initiatives

2. Store Operations

  • Ensure daily store readiness: opening/closing checks, VM standards, hygiene, and product display
  • Monitor billing accuracy, cash handling, and basic reporting
  • Support execution of campaigns, in-store events, and promotions

3. Inventory Management

  • Manage stock levels, replenishment planning, and ordering from central warehouse/vendors
  • Conduct regular audits and ensure minimal shrinkage/expiry losses
  • Track fast-moving SKUs and ensure availability of key products

4. Spa Coordination

  • Manage grooming/spa appointment bookings and schedules
  • Coordinate with groomers for smooth service delivery
  • Ensure hygiene, safety, and customer satisfaction for all spa services

5. Home Delivery & Local Operations

  • Coordinate and track local deliveries from store
  • Ensure timely dispatch, order accuracy, and customer communication
  • Handle basic logistics coordination with delivery personnel

6. Team Support

  • Assist Store Manager in staff supervision and shift planning
  • Train team members on customer handling and product knowledge
  • Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to SOPs

Candidate Profile

  • 2–4 years of experience in retail/store operations (pet industry preferred but not mandatory)
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
  • Comfortable handling and interacting with pets
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and retail metrics
  • Ability to multitask across sales, operations, and coordination roles
