About the Role
The Assistant Professor of Communication Skills will be responsible for teaching, research, academic leadership, and service activities in the discipline of Communication Skills. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction, conducting impactful research, mentoring students and faculty, and contributing to the academic growth and reputation of the university.
Core Responsibilities
- Teaching & Pedagogy: Deliver lectures, workshops, and practical sessions on professional communication, soft skills, and public speaking.
- Curriculum Development: Develop innovative, industry-relevant course materials, syllabus, and lab manuals.
- Student Mentoring: Advise students on academic performance, career enhancement, and soft skills development.
- Assessment: Evaluate student performance through assignments, presentations, and technical interviews.
- Research & Professional Development: Engage in scholarly research, publish papers in peer-reviewed journals, and attend seminars.
- Administration: Participate in institutional committees, accreditation processes (NAAC/NBA), and departmental meetings.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Ph.D. (preferred) in English, Communication Studies, or related disciplines.
- Experience: Freshers -5 years of teaching/Industrial experience
- Skills: Exceptional written/verbal communication, proficiency in pedagogical tools, interpersonal skills, and ability to foster active learning
