- Role: Assistant Manager Operations

- Reporting to: Head of Operations / Founder's Office
- Role Objective
The Assistant Manager Operations will own end-to-end execution of operational workflows across D2C and B2B verticals, ensuring seamless order processing, vendor coordination, dispatch, installation, and customer experience. This role combines hands-on execution with managerial ownership, acting as the operational backbone for day-to-day delivery excellence and continuous process improvement.
The role demands high ownership, strong coordination skills, execution discipline, and problem-solving mindset in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Execution & Ownership
- Own end-to-end order lifecycle management across D2C and B2B projects from order confirmation to final delivery and installation.
- Plan, schedule, and track dispatches, deliveries, installations, and site executions.
- Ensure adherence to delivery TATs, SLA commitments, and quality benchmarks.
- Act as the single point of accountability for order closures, escalations, and resolution.
2. Team & Task Management
- Manage and guide operations executives and ground staff, ensuring daily task planning, follow-ups, and closures.
- Allocate work, monitor productivity, and drive execution discipline.
- Train junior team members on SOPs, documentation standards, coordination protocols, and quality benchmarks.
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
3. Vendor, Logistics & Partner Coordination
- Coordinate with vendors, transporters, installers, and service partners for seamless execution.
- Track production schedules, dispatch plans, and delivery commitments.
- Ensure quality control, packaging compliance, installation readiness, and post-delivery service resolution.
4. Process, SOP & System Building
- Create, improve, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key workflows.
- Build dashboards, trackers, and reporting systems for order tracking, pendency, TAT, and SLA adherence.
- Identify bottlenecks, leakage points, and inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
5. Customer & Stakeholder Experience
- Own customer communication for operations-related updates and escalations.
- Ensure high-quality execution and professional coordination with B2B clients, designers, architects, and internal sales teams.
- Act as a problem-solver and execution partner for high-value projects and premium customers.

Preferred Background
- 36 years experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, project execution, fulfillment, retail ops, interiors execution, ecommerce operations, or B2B project delivery
- Experience in D2C, ecommerce, furniture, interiors, construction, retail execution, or logistics startups is a strong plus
- Exposure to ground execution + office coordination roles is ideal
